Vert Fest Event Branding

The Vert Fest project goal was to create a unique and eye-catching poster with corresponding participant merchandise, while following Oregon State University brand standards. The Vert Fest theme that year was beach and lifeguard, which allowed for some unique ideation in the design process. I worked closely with the client the Adventure Leadership Institute, and implemented their feedback to exceed the project expectations.

This poster concept was one of the first drafts sent to the client for feedback. My initial ideation was a color pop theme that would stand out amongst the other events being advertised around the same time. Client feedback focused on making sure the next iteration had a larger presence of climbers, and suggested to do visual research on beach caving.

The following shirt mockups were a vital part of the ideation, as it helped the client and the production printers visualize how the shirts would look with both the Vert Fest logo and the sponsors list. I was also tasked with creating mockups for staff visors and event stickers.
